Shawn Abdi, Esq.
Shawn Abdi has been licensed to practice law in California since 2020 (State Bar of California No. 331662). He earned his Juris Doctor from Concord Law School. His practice concentrates on California workers’ compensation, including representation of injured workers before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and on Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income claims at every stage from the initial application through the hearing and appeal. He has been selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2023. He practices in English and Spanish.

How we work
Every consultation is free and confidential. Workers’ compensation fees are set by the workers’ compensation judge and paid from the award; Social Security Disability fees are set by federal law and approved by the Social Security Administration; injury and employment matters are handled on a contingency basis, with no attorney fee unless there is a recovery. We explain what to expect, answer questions in plain language, and keep clients informed as their matters progress. Immigration status does not affect your right to workers’ compensation, injury compensation or wage protections in California.
